open new file
Click the New File button.
|
| |
 |
select canvas defaults
Enter a canvas size and default color. Then
click OK.

import graphic
Click the Import button.
|
| |

select imported graphic
Click Open to continue.

drop imported graphic
A special cursor will prompt you for a location to
drop the graphic. Click next to proceed.

make the graphic a symbol
Select Symbols from the Edit menu. Then
select Make Symbol.

Note the way a symbol is signified. Click
next to proceed.

make a clone
Select Clone from the
Edit menu.

move the clone
Drag the clone to its final destination in the animation.
Click next to proceed.

tween
Select Tween Instances
from the Symbols menu.

distribute across frames
Choose the number of steps the animation should take
and check the box to distribute across frames. Click
OK to proceed.

preview animation
Selecting Frame 1 on the Layers window enables the
right and left arrow keys for scrolling through the frames. Click
next to proceed.

export
Select Export from the
Edit menu.

select gif animation format
Select GIF animation as the format. Then
select the animation tab.

adjust animation timing
Adjust the amount of time each frame appears. Then
choose between running the animation once or in a continual loop. Click
Export to proceed.

save
Choose your filename and destination. Then
click Save.
