(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QE9F2OMTJRQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Title 4D and E funding info<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family courts in California have run unconstitutionally\nfor decades without much attention.&nbsp; They\nhold secret courts where one party isn\u2019t present (ex parte).&nbsp; They have no juries.&nbsp; No cameras.&nbsp;\nThey pretty much have unchecked power because the media has done nothing\nto shine light on the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, a large non-profit group produced <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/tippingpoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/The-Payback-Problem.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">The Payback Problem<\/a> which addressed the severity of some of these issues.\u00a0 In response, two CA bills were created to put a small dent in the problem.\u00a0 Newsom quickly vetoed them both because he would lose free money from the Feds.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2019\/10\/16\/newsom-vetoes-two-bills-aimed-at-reforming-child-support-payback-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Your story completely missed the real underlying issue:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The state of\nCalifornia is being paid to eliminate parents from the lives of children.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That statement sounds like something from Nazi Germany.&nbsp; Yet it gets zero press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is, with the recent Covid-19 epidemic, \u201cConstitutionality\u201d\nis slowly becoming vogue again.&nbsp; Judges\nfrom Wisconsin, Oregon and Illinois have limited the power of their tyrannical\ngovernors who declared unconstitutional stay-at-home orders.&nbsp; Police on YouTube are refusing duty because\ntheir orders are unconstitutional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many independent web based news sources are beginning to\nspeak about Title IV-D.&nbsp; THIS is the\nfuture of journalism.&nbsp; Mercury News is\nway behind on the curve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a fit, loving parent in an eight-year CA-driven divorce.&nbsp; I have been blocked from my daughters for\nnearly two years.&nbsp; I have committed no\ncrimes.&nbsp; I have a $20,000 bail bond on my\nhead because I refuse to attend unconstitutional court hearings.&nbsp; I was forced to pay 90% of my income to the state\nof California \u2013 two-thirds of which doesn\u2019t even go to the mother of my kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am connected to hundreds of other Californians who want\njustice.&nbsp; Who fear the state they live\nin.&nbsp; Who have no voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find me an article on Title IV-D funding and I\u2019ll find you\n$1,000 in donations (likely 100 $10 donations from homeless fathers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drop the word <em>unconstitutional\n<\/em>once or twice \u2013 not because you are getting paid \u2013 because you stand for\nsomething other than yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Good luck in your quest to keep the Mercury News above\nwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick Glynn<br>walkforlostkids.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/contact-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">For email addresses of editors at Mercury News<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sharon and other Mercury News staff \u2013 I recently received your emailed request for funding.&nbsp; I wanted to write and let you know how critical I believe journalism is to our free society.
